Connect Program

Seldovia Village Tribe’s Connect Program is designed to do just that… to connect. To connect youth, elders and people of all ages with one another, with our community, with our culture, and with the incredible natural resources that we have been blessed with. Connect’s goal is to weave responsibility, moral integrity, confidence, personal strength, cultural awareness, community service and environmental stewardship into the daily lives of the youth and community of Seldovia. We do this by incorporating these values into active, hands-on programming involving sports, outdoor education & skills, training, resiliency, arts and creativity.

Weekly Programs Include and are not limited to:

  • K-6th Grade After School Activities – Basketball, Crafting/Cooking, Swimming
  • Elementary Winter Fun Hikes
  • Middle School/High School Power Hour Homework Club
  • Gym/Pool Times: Teen Gym, Volleyball, Open Gym/Swim, Men’s Basketball
  • Alaska Native Arts & Crafts Classes
  • Healthy Chatter Luncheons/Presentations

Special events are also scheduled throughout the year for the community of Seldovia, ranging from workshops and presentations to specialty classes and more. Prevention Program activities are also being planned for Homer and Anchor Point.
