Come join Michelle and Michael to tour their gardens and learn about the process of producing peonies for the fresh cut stem market. Located on the ridge above Homer off of Skyline Drive, at an elevation of 1495 feet, Chilly Root Peony farm is likely the farm with the highest elevation and the latest bloom time in the state. They grow more than 30 different varieties of herbaceous peony and believe in the practice of bio-dynamic agriculture which is a system of sustainable balanced nurturing of soil, plant and animal, all honoring the web of life.
