SVT Health & Wellness continues to administer COVID-19 vaccines, having completed some of the second doses of the initial allotments received through the State of Alaska and the Indian Health Service. Starting on Tuesday, January 12th, we began administering vaccines targeting additional healthcare providers (under Phase 1a, Tier 3), and targeting patients who are aged 65 years and above (under Phase 1b, Tier 1).
SVT Health & Wellness is committed to the safe roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines in accordance with Tribal, State and Federal prioritization and guidance. Due to the fact the vaccines are unstable and have a short shelf life, they are made available to health care agencies in limited quantities, and their administration must be carefully planned in order to maximize delivery of vaccines.
If you are a patient of SVT Health and Wellness (who is 65 and above) and have not yet been contacted for a vaccine appointment, please call 907-226-2228 and follow the prompts to request placement on our wait list. We also welcome new patients; a medical visit is required to establish care as a patient of our community health center.
To determine your eligibility for other vaccine options available, please visit http://dhss.alaska.gov/dph/epi/id/pages/COVID-19/vaccine.aspx. All individuals are encouraged to discuss the vaccine pros and cons with their health care providers.
